Day 1: Tuesday: Quito-Lasso 78 Km
Depart of Chimbacalle train station at 8h00,Visit to the Cotopaxi National Park, Lunch at San Agustin del Callo (a colonial hacienda), Traditional indigenous presentation, Overnight accommodations and dinner at La Cienega (another colonial hacienda) (-/L/D)
Day 2: Wednesday: Lasso-Riobamba 139 Km
Visit to a rose plantation with fair trade practices, Lunch at hotel Roka Plaza, Visit to the town of Urbina and the Interpretation Center of the “hieleros” (indigenous people dedicated to “harvest” ice form the glaciers of the Chimborazo volcano), Overnight accommodations, dinner and breakfast at Hacienda Abraspungo. Day 3: Thursday: Riobamba – Bucay 143 Km
This day we will travel with asteam locomotive!, Visit to “La Balbanera” Church (the first church built in Ecuador), visit to Guamote’s market (where we will have lunch), train ride along the Devil´s Nose (named the most difficult railway of the world!). It is also worth mentioning that this day we will start at the Andes and end the day on the coast. Overnight accommodations, dinner and breakfast at D¨Franco. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Friday: Bucay – Durán 88 Km
Breakfast, Walk through the cloud forest, Visit to the Shuar Community, Lunch in a coastal ranch (San Rafael). This trip is also made on a steam locomotive! Transfer in bus to Guayaquil (B/L/-)
